Strategic Plan

The POST Strategic Plan, developed with extensive input from representatives of California law enforcement, aligns POST's activities and priorities with the needs and expectations of POST's clients and partners.

The POST Strategic Plan guides POST in improving its services and in setting standards for California law enforcement. As such, it provides guidance for much of the research and agendas presented to the Commission. While the plan is updated every two years, with input from POST's clients and partners, it is continuously being reviewed and modified by the Commission. Research is being conducted regularly on the 39 objectives, and reports and recommendations are routinely provided for Commission approval and direction.
