Dispatcher Pilot Courses

POST has developed a number of courses designed to meet the expressed training needs of California's public safety dispatcher community. All of the courses are configured as learner-centered, active methods-based instructional events which endeavor to address real-life issues and problems confronting the public safety dispatcher. Sessions are presented as 8-hour, stand-alone classes. At the request of the public safety dispatcher community, courses are being presented at the same venue on contiguous dates to provide an opportunity to attendees to fully satisfy the prevailing 24-hour POST Continuing Professional Training (CPT) obligation at one time. All courses are reimbursable under POST Plan IV.

Following completion of the pilot sessions, lesson plans and other supporting instructional resources associated with these programs will be made available to POST agencies and regional training centers interested in supporting localized presentations. Links to individual class flyers that include information regarding presentation dates, locations, and registration procedures are provided below.
