Course Description

The goal of this workshop is to increase evaluators’ understanding of the 10 POST Psychological Screening Dimensions and to provide an interactive experience that allows for practice and training in consistently and effectively using the dimensions to support qualification decisions in pre-employment psychological evaluations for public safety candidates. Dr. Panza will present clinical cases and have participants provide ratings (independently) for each dimension and make Q/D decisions for each case. There will be group discussion of perceived benefits and challenges of applying the dimensions.

  • Describe research on use of the dimensions in clinical practice
  • Describe how to apply the dimensions to qualification decisions in pre-employment psychological evaluations
  • Describe strategies to increase consistency and efficacy of use of the dimensions in clinical practice
