Addressing Recruitment Challenges - Career Pipeline Program

Recruiting qualified applicants who can successfully complete the California Peace Officer Selection Process continues to be a major challenge to California law enforcement agencies.  A POST task group reviewed the recruitment deficiencies and developed the POST Public Safety Career Pipeline concept.  This concept can be used by law enforcement, in partnership with their local school and college districts, to “grow their own” qualified candidates.
