POST Regulations
The Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Program exists under the authority of, and in compliance with, California Penal Code Sections 13503, 13506, and 13510.
Precedential Decisions
Under the Administrative Procedure Act (APA) a decision that contains a significant legal or policy determination of general application that is likely to recur may be designated as precedential (see Government Code section 11425.60). Once a decision is designated as precedential, the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (hereinafter "Commission") may rely on it, and parties may cite to such decision in their argument to the Peace Officer Standards Accountability Advisory Board, Commission, and courts.
Regulatory Actions
POST Regulatory Actions depending on current status, may contain the POST Bulletin, Notice of Proposed Regulatory Action, Initial Statement of Reasons, Text of the Proposed Regulation, Final Statement of Reasons, date the regulation was filed with the Secretary of State, and the effective date of the regulation.
Status of Current Legislation
A list of bills POST is monitoring during the Legislative Session that may have an impact on POST operations.
