The Power of Mentorship Symposium
The POST Power of Mentorship Symposium is a newly developed symposium designed for non-management roles, including professional staff, dispatchers, dispatch supervisors, communication training officers, corporals, field training officers, recruit trainer officers, and recently promoted front-line supervisors.
Highlighting mentorship as a cornerstone of long-term professional development, this symposium will explore how peer leadership shapes careers, builds confidence, and strengthens teams.
Participants will explore actionable techniques in coaching, communication, accountability, and trust-building, and will leave equipped with practical tools to support others and extend their influence beyond formal training environments.
This symposium is tuition-free and qualifies for Plan IV reimbursement. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to receive Continuing Professional Training credit hours. A valid government identification is required and will be verified upon check-in.
Please note: The Power of Mentorship Symposium is a one-day event with a tentative start time of 8:00 a.m. and will conclude at 4:00 p.m. Hotel room block information will be provided upon registration.
Questions may be directed to the POST Symposium Planning Committee.
