Course Description
Police screening and selection are complex processes involving multiple stakeholders, layers, and decision points. Each phase requires time and financial resources and is subject to important limitations, including restrictions on permissible questions, the scope of information that can be collected, and the overall duration of the process. This session, led by a board-certified police psychologist with nearly two decades of experience in assessment research and practice, examines various employment screening models and the most challenging aspects of each phase. It highlights specific techniques and tools designed to reduce error and enhance the accuracy and efficiency of officer selection.
