Course Description

This session equips police executives and administrators with a practical framework for translating the IACP Police Psychological Services Section guidelines into effective and defensible agency practices. Participants will learn how to operationalize psychological guidance across key domains--including pre-employment evaluations, fitness-for-duty processes, wellness visits, officer-involved incident response, and peer support implementation--to improve organizational performance, mitigate legal risk, and strengthen leadership decision-making. Case examples and actionable strategies will bridge aspirational standards with measurable results for agencies of all sizes.
