Course Description

This workshop provides guidance on how to properly interpret and integrate MMPI-2-RF Validity Scale findings in forensic psychological evaluations. It begins with an overview of the conceptual framework for interpreting the scales, followed by a description of their development and evolution. Guidelines for interpreting the scales are covered next, with an emphasis on the impact of possible confounds in validity scale interpretation. The empirical, peer-reviewed literature available to guide and support interpreting the scales is reviewed, followed by a series of case studies illustrating their use in various forensic evaluations, including competency and sanity, personal injury and disability, and family court assessments.
