Course Description

Presentation examines the incremental validity of using the 16PF Questionnaire and the Biographical Risk and Inconsistencies assessment when assessing law enforcement candidates academy success. Departmental perspectives on the two will be discussed.

Course Objectives

Participants will develop an understanding of how personality and background assessment empirically complement each other in selecting law enforcement candidates;Participants will develop an understanding of the benefit law enforcement departments experience from using the combination of assessments; and Participants will develop insights into the incremental validity of using the 16PF®Questionnaire and the Biographical Risks and Inconsistencies assessments together in empirically predicting candidate outcomes in the academy.
