Course Description
This training will focus upon Post-traumatic Stress Disorder assessment. Discussion will include identification of risk factors associated with individuals who have experienced symptoms after trauma exposure when those individuals are hired in public safety positions. Training will include interview skill training for individuals with trauma history, including techniques for evaluating combat veterans and individuals with a history of sexual assault.
Course Objectives
1. Identify at least two risk factors associated with post-trauma exposure symptomatology. <div>2. Describe two interview techniques that facilitate assessment in individuals with trauma exposure. </div><div>3.Describe two VA tools used to assess post-deployment mental health in veterans.</div>
