Course Description

The American Psychiatric Association’s (APA) publication, Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), has been the industry standard for practitioners, researchers, pharmaceutical companies, insurance companies, and policymakers since the original draft was published in 1952. The fifth edition, text revision of the manual, known as the DSM-5-TR was published in March 2022, after receiving approval at the annual APA conference. Designed for social workers, psychologists, counselors, and marriage and family therapists, this learning material provides a comprehensive overview of the DSM-5-TR, its history and purpose, organization, and the manual’s changes and transitions from the DSM-5. In addition, information on diagnostic criteria needed to assess the presence of psychiatric disorders and examples are provided, along with a brief overview of some classified disorders. - See more at: https://ce4less.com/DSM5TR-A-Comprehensive-Overview-Psychologist-Ceu#sthash.g3OayuYn.dpuf
