Course Description

Psychologists conducting preemployment evaluations are tasked with considering information from multiple sources, including tests of normal and abnormal personality, biodata, background investigation, and clinical interview. We present a conceptually driven model for integrating data across these sources, empirical findings on associations among some of these information sources and between them and hiring outcomes, and cases illustrating implementation of the model. The presentation focuses on identifying incremental contributions of the various sources and on how hiring risks may (or may not) be mitigated by life experiences.
