Course Description

This intermediate-level two-day workshop focuses on assessments of police and public safety candidates and incumbents. It is designed for individuals familiar with the MMPI-2-RF, for example, those who have completed the "Introduction to the MMPI-2-RF" workshop on Tuesday, April 22. Topics covered include legal considerations, use of the MMPI-2-RF in non-clinical assessments, and best practices in conducting pre-employment and fitness for duty evaluations. Use of the MMPI-2-RF in these assessments will be illustrated with a series of case studies.

Course Objectives

Participants will be able to: • Identify legal considerations in use of the MMPI-2-RF in police and public safety evaluations • Consider implications of federal laws governing employment-related evaluations • Describe the 51 scales of the MMPI-2-RF • Identify special considerations in use of the MMPI-2-RF in police and public safety evaluations
