Course Description
This intermediate workshop presents the challenges in writing psychological reports and strategies to improve writing. It follows a multimethod, integrated, and individualized approach to assessment reports. Participants are introduced to critical components for writing effective and integrated reports, including making assessment findings clear, individualized, specific, and meaningful for the client and other audiences. Participants learn specific steps to better organize and integrate reports, balancing professional language with accessibility.
Course Objectives

Describe the common challenges involved in producing comprehensive and effective assessment reports.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 17.6px;">3. Explain core components of effective report writing.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 17.6px;">4. Select and utilize specific strategies provided to strengthen report writing.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 17.6px;">5. Revise ineffective/unhelpful sentences/paragraphs in a meaningful manner.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 17.6px;">6. Effectively integrate assessment data available (interview, observations, testing, etc.) to individualize reports and make them more meaningful.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 17.6px;">7. Identify strategies for making research-informed treatment recommendations.</span></div>
