Course Description

This talk by a board certified police and public safety psychologists who has worked in-house for one of the largest metropolitan police departments in the U.S. and as an educator in a large criminal justice college in North America and now serves over a hundred public safety agencies across the United States outlines years of research and practice toward adapting the traditional model and approaches for screening peace officers in America to evolve the selection process to better meet the needs of an increasingly pluralistic society and the agencies and personnel tasked with serving and protecting these communities in line with the larger principles of social justice and legitimacy.
