Course Description

AI technology is creating new challenges that can compromise the integrity of applicant assessments. This presentation will explore how AI is affecting public safety hiring, the risks it poses to the reliability of applicant evaluations, and strategies to mitigate these risks. One of the primary concerns is the increasing use of AI-generated responses in applications, where candidates may utilize AI tools to craft polished yet potentially misleading answers. Similarly, AI-enhanced interview manipulation poses a risk, with applicants using real-time AI-tools to improve their interview presentation. The growing reliance on telehealth for psychological evaluations also creates new potential liabilities for uninformed practitioners and threats to the security of the evaluation process.
