Course Description

This course is POST-approved for .5 CPE credit. This presentation examines the ongoing top issues in policing—recruitment and retention, risk of prosecution for on-duty actions, psychological assessments (pre-employment, Fitness for Duty, etc.), officer wellness and morale, state laws and policies surrounding mandated wellness visits, among others—as well as how culturally competent and dynamic police psychology can address these issues.
