Course Description

This intermediate-level two-day workshop focuses on assessments of police and public safety candidates and incumbents. It is designed for individuals familiar with the MMPI-2-RF, for example, those who have completed the "Introduction to the MMPI-2-RF" workshop. Topics covered include legal considerations, best practices, and the use of the MMPI-2-RF Police Candidate Interpretive Report (PCIR) in conducting preemployment evaluations. Use of the PCIR in these assessments will be illustrated by a comprehensive case study in which the report's findings are integrated with those from the background investigation, mental health records, clinical interview, and other psychological tests. Participants will then gain mentored experience applying the integration model to data from actual police candidate evaluations.
