Course Description

This intermediate-level workshop provides a comprehensive review of the personality and psychopathology constructs assessed by the MMPI-2-RF. The presentation will begin with a brief overview of the rationale for the revision and the procedures in developing the test. The nine MMPI-2-RF Validity Scales, and the conceptual model underlying their interpretation will be reviewed next, followed by a description of the 42 substantive scales of the instrument and the personality and psychopathology constructs they assess. Use of comparison group data to facilitate construct-based interpretation of non-clinically-elevated scores will be covered next. The workshop will conclude with a series of case studies illustrating assessment of personality and psychopathology with the MMPI-2-RF.
