Course Description

Detailed discussion of research being conducted “in-house”: MMPI-2-RF and CPI in predicting academy and probationary success. Additionally, training will include critical review of research related to the use of the MMPI-2-RF and CPI in law enforcement screening.Training will include clinical case material, including review of complex pre-employment cases with discussion of MMPI-2-RF and CPI profiles, and review of pre-employment test profiles of problem officers.

Course Objectives

Attendees will be able to identify at least three MMPI-2-RF scales predictive of adverse outcomes among police applicants. Attendees will be able to describe two pros and cons in using police norms. Attendees will be able to apply research findings to two suitability decisions.
