Course Description

The presentation will discuss how the number of critical items relates to whether or not a candidate was terminated, and how those results can be used in the hiring process. Furthermore, the contribution of the number of critical items in predicting termination will be added to previous research on how the IPI-2 content scales predict termination. The practical implications of the research will be discussed, along with future plans for including a termination prediction in future revisions of the IPI-2.

Course Objectives

Participants will understand how the critical items on the IPI-2 predict future termination, both alone and with other content scales. Participants will learn how to apply the results of the critical item research to their evaluation of candidates for law enforcement and other public safety positions.
