Course Description
A review of research regarding police culture, military culture, and the overlap is presented followed by this research study's findings that included examining the MMPI-2 and PAI profiles of law enforcement candidates with and without combat military experience. This study specifically examined the trends in validity and clinical measures on the MMPI-2 and PAI between the two groups, as well the differences in scores among candidates from different military branches (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, etc.). Lastly, the study also examined the differences in scores on validity and clinical scales between candidates who were recommended for hire following the PEPE and were hired and those who were recommended but not hired.
