An introduction to pre-employment psychological assessment using the PAI Police and Public Safety Report

Course Objectives

  • Discuss the importance of utilizing special group norms when conducting law enforcement preemployment evaluations.
  • Describe the derivation and validation of the PAI Police and Public Safety Report risk statements and their relevance to law enforcement preemployment evaluations.
  • Discuss the value of actuarial versus clinical judgment.
  • List two of the most common reasons law enforcement officers are terminated.
