Course Description

Proposing a panel discussion of cross-cultural issues in law enforcement selection conducted by myself and Deborah Ontiveros PhD of El Paso, Texas. Focus will also be on use of standardized psychological testing on these populations on whom they have not been standardized. We will also discuss English as a Second Language on highly structured tests like the MMPI-3. Interaction and discussion with audience is highly desirable. We will get two more discussants, one of whom is familiar with Native American and Hispanic selection issues. We will also try to get someone from Canada to join us to talk about their issues, especially the language and Native American matters.
