Course Description

In this webinar we will discuss the purpose and procedures of post-offer, pre-employment psychological evaluations for first responders, the legal, ethical, and methodological considerations in conducting evaluations and strategies and resources for ongoing professional development to enhance competence in the specialized practice of public safety psychological assessment.

Course Objectives

At the end of this presentation, participants will be able to: 1. Describe the purpose and procedures of post-offer, pre-employment psychological evaluations for first responders, emphasizing their role in assessing psychological readiness and resilience.  2. Analyze the legal, ethical, and methodological considerations in conducting evaluations, including the use of key assessment tools and the development of clear, defensible reports.  3. Apply strategies and resources for ongoing professional development to enhance competence in the specialized practice of public safety psychological assessment.
