POST Entry-Level Law Enforcement Test Battery (PELLETB) Proctor Training
California Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) requires formal proctor training for the POST Entry-Level Law Enforcement Test Battery (PELLETB). The proctor training is designed to ensure that the individuals administering the examinations are trained in the proper security and administration procedures for the respective examinations.
Individuals who will be proctoring and/or ordering the POST Entry-Level Law Enforcement Test Battery (PELLETB) are required to complete the PELLETB Course. The PELLETB Course covers general test security information and procedures specific to ordering, storage, administration, mailing, and scoring of the PELLETB. POST will only fill test orders and provide scoring services for those agencies that are in compliance with this requirement.
If you are (a) a brand-new agency, (b) taking over as a new test coordinator/primary contact for your agency, or (c) a current test coordinator/primary contact wishing to make changes to your designee list and add additional proctors, please follow the steps below:
- Submit a PELLETB Security Agreement. Please note that an e-signature from your agency head (i.e., Chief, Sheriff, HR Director, HR Manager) is required to fully execute the test security agreement. The security agreement is good for two years.
- Submit a designee list. Please include everyone on the list who will have access to the test and/or who will be proctoring the test, as any new list submitted will replace your old list.
- Submit a proctor nomination request form for each nominee.
Additional information or questions about the online proctor training courses can be sent to proctorrequest@post.ca.gov.
