Strategic Plan
The California Commission on Peace
Officer Standards and Training (POST) 2026-2030 Strategic Plan reflects POST’s
continued commitment to advancing public safety through modern, accountable,
and inclusive training standards. This plan was developed through a
collaborative, data-informed process that ensured representation from every
POST bureau and the incorporation of the newly established Legal Affairs Bureau
and Peace Officer Standards and Accountability Division.
This plan is not only a roadmap for
advancing training, certification, and organizational excellence, it also
reinforces POST’s leadership role in supporting public trust, transparency, and
equity within California’s law enforcement community. It is designed to evolve
alongside California’s diverse public safety needs while maintaining a strong
foundation in accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
