POST Learning Portal Status Update

POST is aware of multiple email notifications received by some Learning Portal users over the weekend. This was a notification of a new course with information about the Learning Portal updates later this month. The email notification should have been sent once to each person. We are looking into the situation to prevent more notifications and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

This is advance notice that the POST Learning Portal (https://lp.post.ca.gov) will be undergoing updates in late June 2023.

What should I do to prepare?

  • Complete any in-progress courses by June 16, 2023 to ensure transfer to EDI.
  • Do not start courses before June 16, 2023 unless you know you can complete them.
  • Training Managers:
    • Set a due date no later than June 16, 2023 when assigning training.
    • Do not add NPO accounts after June 16, 2023 until notified to resume.

Special Note for First Aid/CPR/AED Update Training:

  • Schedule the skills demonstration to occur before June 16, 2023. Enter the demonstration date by end of day June 16, 2023 to ensure transfer to EDI.
  • If this is not possible, agencies should wait to assign the online modules until after the updates are completed.
  • For learners who have completed all six online modules by June 16 and who are scheduled for a skills demonstration after that date, the training manager will be able to enter the demonstration date after the update.  Instructions will be provided.
  • Learners who have not completed all six modules will have to retake the online modules after the update.

What if I have not completed a course by June 16, 2023?

  • Your progress will not be saved but you can start the course from the beginning after the update.

Will there be any training or tutorials for the updates?

Check this page for updates as we get closer to the transition.
