POST Learning Portal Status

December 23, 2024: This is an update to the POST Learning Portal status:

Reminder: 2023-2024 CPT Cycle Ends 12/31/2024

CPT credit for Learning Portal courses completed by 12/31/24 will apply to the 2023-2024 CPT cycle. CPT for courses completed after 12/31/24 will apply to the 2025-2026 CPT cycle. This applies to Learning Portal courses with CPT credit only.

If you are in progress in the First Aid/CPR/AED retraining, both the online modules and skills demonstration must be completed before CPT credit is awarded. If you have completed the online modules and are scheduled to complete the skills demonstration after 12/31/24, the CPT credits will apply in the 25-26 CPT cycle. Your progress will not be affected. If you have already completed First Aid/CPR/AED during the 2023-2024 CPT cycle, there is no action you need to take.

Vehicle Pursuit Policy Update Course

POST is pleased to announce the relaunch of the Vehicle Pursuit Policy Update Course and Customization Module.

The course is 2 CPT credits and meets the mandate for High-Speed Vehicle Pursuit annual training (PC 13519.8). More information about pursuit guidelines and training requirements can be found in the Vehicle Pursuit Guidelines FAQs.

The customization module allows an agency to customize the course feedback to match their vehicle pursuit policy. There are 58 questions in all.

Here is more information about the relaunch:
  • The customization module will be assigned to all current Learning Portal Administrators upon relaunch. It will also be automatically assigned to any new Learning Portal Administrators in the future.
  • Customizations that were in place prior to the course going offline in June 2023 will be restored. Users will be asked to review their customizations, upload a PDF of their agency policy, then publish the completed customizations.
  • The course will be available for registration in the catalog; however, learners will not be able to start the course until the customizations are published.
